The Alexandria Police Department took a report of a vehicle that was broken into on the 500 block of 30th Avenue West that occurred during the overnight hours of 07/10/08 into the early morning hours of 07/11/08. The driver’s window was busted out of the car and the car stereo was stolen.

The Alexandria Police Department took a report of a vehicle that had the back window busted out of it near the intersection of Highway 27 and McKay Avenue while it was parked. It is unknown when this damage was done.

The Alexandria Police Department took a theft report of a bike that was stolen on the 400 block of North Nokomis Street that occurred during the afternoon hours of 07/05/08. The bike was a green and gray mountain bike.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle that was broken into and items were stolen during the overnight hours of 07/05/08 into the morning hours of 07/06/08 on the 200 block of McKay Avenue South. The items stolen include a black box containing two 10” MPX subs, a red and chrome colored lightning amp, and a blue neon light.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle on the 4900 block of Highway 29 South that was broken into that occurred sometime during the overnight hours on 07/01/08 into the early morning hours of 07/02/08. The passenger window of the vehicle was broken and a red purse was stolen from inside the vehicle.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to a report of a vehicle that was broken into on the 800 block of Douglas Street that occurred during the overnight hours of 06/30/08 into the morning hours of 07/01/08. The items stolen include a black wallet, MN driver’s license, three credit cards, St. Thomas student ID card, and approximately $85 cash.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to a criminal damage to property report of a vehicle on the 400 block of Elm Street that had the driver’s window busted out. This occurred sometime during the evening hours of 06/30/08 into the early morning hours of 07/01/08 .

The Alexandria Police Department took a theft report of a red metal 6 gallon Johnson outboard gas tank that was stolen on the 200 block of 6th Avenue East sometime during the early morning hours into the afternoon hours of 06/30/08. Inside the gas tank was approximately 6 gallons of gasoline.

The Alexandria Police Department took a theft from vehicle report of a purse that was stolen from a vehicle on the 200 block of North Nokomis Street that occurred sometime during the late evening hours on 06/29/08. The purse was recovered the following morning just northwest of the location it was stolen. The items that were not recovered are: a bank card, bag of dental picks, and three prescription pills.

The Alexandria Police Department took a theft report of wedding cards that were stolen from a wedding card box at a church on 06/28/08 in the afternoon hours. An unknown amount of wedding cards were taken from the card box. The suspect is believed to be in his 50’s and of average height and build. The suspect is balding in the front and has short, dark hair that is starting to gray.

The Alexandria Police Department took a theft report of a Redline Boys Freestyle bike that was stolen from the front of a business on the 400 block of Broadway at approximately 3:00 p.m. The bike is gray in color with the letters "RL" on the seat.

The Alexandria Police Department took a theft report of two extension cords that were stolen from a yard on the 1000 block of 6th Avenue Eat between the evening hours of 06/24/08 and 06/25/08. The extension cords are orange in color and 50 feet long.

The Alexandria Police Department took a theft report of a JVC CD player that was stolen from a vehicle on the 400 block of Maple Street during the overnight hours of 06/23/08 into the early morning hours of 06/24/08. The CD player has a removable faceplate.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to a criminal damage report of a vehicle that was broken into and items stolen on the 600 block of 4th Avenue East at approximately 2:30 a.m. An ILO brand MP3 player, two DVDs, and a red tackle box were taken from the vehicle. A white male was seen leaving the area and he was described as college age with longer hair.

The Alexandria Police Department took a report of where someone entered a garage on the 1200 block of Irving Street during the overnight hours on 06/23/08 until the early morning hours of 06/24/08 and a brightly colored tote was taken from the vehicle inside the garage. The tote contained miscellaneous winter accessories and clear spray bottles.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to a business on Highway 29 North that was broken into and two laptop computers were stolen along with cash during the overnight hours on 06/23/08 until early morning hours of 06/24/08. One laptop computer was a HP laptop computer, dark gray and navy in color. The other laptop was a Dell Inspirion with a black leather case.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to a building on the 1700 block of Nokomis Street that was broken into and gas cans as well as gas was stolen from the building. Fire extinguishers inside the building were also taken and the contents sprayed in the area of the building. This occurred sometime between 06/20/08 and 06/23/08.

The Alexandria Police Department took a theft report of a miniature refrigerator that was stolen from a yard on the 800 block of Hawthorne Street within the last two weeks. The refrigerator was located next to the garage of the residence before it was stolen.

The Alexandria Police Department took a theft report of a men’s Schwinn bike that was stolen from the 500 block of Broadway which occurred sometime between 12:45 a.m. and 1:15 a.m. on 06/19/08. The bike is a 1960’s model and is blue in color.

The Alexandria Police Department took a report of two cameras that were stolen from a vehicle while it was parked on the 600 block of 8th Avenue E during the overnight hours on 06/17/08 until early morning hours of 06/18/08. Stolen items include one pink Sony Cybershot digital camera and one Kodak digital camera.

The Alexandria Police Department took a report of a XM satellite radio receiver that was stolen out of a vehicle while it was parked in a garage on the 600 block of 7th Avenue East. Another vehicle, parked in a garage on the 1100 block of Irving, was also burglarized. Stolen from this vehicle were a JVC CD player/radio, a Uniden Maptraxx 352 GPS, and a cell phone charger. Both walk-in doors to these garages were reported to be unlocked during the time of the thefts. The thefts occurred during the morning hours on 6/18/08.

The Alexandria Police Department took a theft report of tools that were stolen from a construction site on McKay Avenue sometime between 6/6/08 and 6/17/08. Stolen items include 2 Stihl brand pipe saws, orange and white in color, model #CS400,and 1 Bomag jumping jack, silver and black, weighing between 80-90 lbs. There was also damage done to the trailer that the items were located in.

The Alexandria Police Department took a theft report of vehicle tabs that were stolen off of a vehicle, possibly while it was parked at Bug-a-Boo Bay on 6/13/08.

The Alexandria Police Department took a theft report of a purse that was stolen from an unlocked vehicle while parked in the 1000 block of Cedar Street. The theft occurred during the late night hours on 6/12/08 until the early morning hours on 6/13/08. Stolen were four credit cards and $100 cash. The purse and some of the contents were recovered by the owner, which was located in a nearby garbage can.

The Alexandria Police Department took reports of three vehicles that were vandalized in separate incidents during the night hours of 06/12/08 to the early morning hours of 06/13/08. It appears a fire extinguisher was used on two vehicles. Two of the three vehicles sustained damage.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to a residence on the 900 block of Quincy where numerous items were stolen from a garage. These items include: Two yard machine rotor tillers, four bags of sand, 15’ swimming pool, one folding chair, one shower chair, one red dolly, one wine rack, a bundle of firewood, one deck broom, a box of numerous picture frames, one Alpine camping stove, six cans of propane for the camping stove, kids scooter, two 50-foot extension cords, one 50-foot heavy duty extension cord, and two 8-foot sections of rod iron posts.

The Alexandria Police Department too a theft from vehicle report. A Pioneer CD player/stereo was stolen from a vehicle while parked in the 300 block of Kenwood Drive. The theft occurred sometime between 06/04/08 and 06/07/08. The CD player is black and gray.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to Pete’s County Market where a vehicle was damaged while parked there which occurred between 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm on 06/07/08. Two windows were damaged.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to the 300 block of Kenwood Drive for the report of a theft from vehicle that occurred sometime between 5:30 a.m. on 6/4/08 and 10:30 p.m. on 6/7/08. Stolen property was one Pioneer CD player/stereo, black and gray in color, valued at approximately $80.00, and one partial pack of Kool cigarettes, $4 value.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to Pete's County Market for the report of criminal damage to property that occurred sometime between 8:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on 6/7/08. Damaged was both the driver's and passenger's side rear side windows on a vehicle that were shattered. Estimated damage is $1,000.00.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to the 900 block of Kenwood Street for the theft of two bicycles from the yard. The thefts occurred sometime between 7 p.m. on 6/5/08 and 9:58 a.m. on 6/6/08. One bicycle was a 7-speed silver and red Mongoose bicycle valued at approximately $90.00. The second bicycle was a green and black Mongoose trick bicycle with silver pegs on the front and back and valued at approximately $90.00.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to the Cinema 9 parking lot for the report of criminal damage to property that occurred between 9:15 p.m. to 11:40 p.m. on 6/5/08. Damaged was a driver's side window that was shattered out. The estimated damage is $400.00.

The Alexandria Police Department received a theft of bicycle report which occurred on the 400 block of 8th Avenue East which occurred sometime between 8:30 p.m. on 6/3/08 and 6:33 a.m. on 6/4/08. The bicycle is a 16" Schwinn girls bike, teal sea green in color with white seat and white tires. This bicycle description matched that of a bicycle that was found on the railroad tracks that appeared to have been hit by a train earlier that morning. The Alexandria Police Department took a theft of bicycle report that occurred between 10:30 p.m. on 6/1/08 and 11:00 a.m. on 6/2/08 on the 1000 block of Hawthorne Street. The bicycle was a 27", 10-speed bicycle with crow handle bars with a black front tire and a black and brown rear tire.

The Alexandria Police Department took a report of theft from a building complex on the 1000 block of Lark Street. One of the residents in the building complex was missing approximately 27 pills of Morphine and Oxycontin. The theft is believed to have occurred on 5/31/08 between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

The Alexandria Police Department received a report of criminal damage to property at a business on the 100 block of 6th Avenue East which occurred at 3:35 p.m. on 6/2/08. Damaged was a glass door that appeared to have been kicked in and broken. Estimated damage is $200.00.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to a construction site at the 200 block of Darling Place for a theft that occurred between 3:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on 6/1/08. Property stolen from the site was one GPX home theatre system, gray in color, with three speakers attached to the top of it, valued at $230.00 and a small metal box with tools and spare parts valued at approximately $600.00.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to the 1200 block of 7th Avenue East for the report of criminal damage to property. The damage occurred between 1 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on 5/31/08. Damaged were flowers and one mailbox that were run over.

The Alexandria Police Department took a theft report from the Lincoln Elementary School which occurred sometime between 12:00 p.m. to 3:10 p.m. on 5/28/08. Property stolen from a backpack in a hallway was one cell phone. The cell phone was described as a silver Razr phone valued at $300.00.

The Alexandria Police Department took a theft report of gasoline from the gas pumps at the S.A.V.E. Superstore during the month of May. The person is using a Visa gift card (unknown at this point where that card was purchased at) and the card is being authorized at the gas pumps to give gasoline; however, there is a glitch in the pumps continuing to accept this card, and the person taking the gas is not paying for the gas, but getting the gas for no charge. Theft of gasoline is alleged to be thousands of dollars.

The Alexandria Police Department responded to the Viking Plaza Mall for the report of a theft from the pet store which occurred sometime between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on 5/27/08. Stolen from the store was one black and brown dog with brown legs described to be a 9-week Cocker/Beagle breed puppy. Value of the puppy is $250.00.

Taken from the vehicle was one black bag with shoulder strap with "Martin" in blue writing on the front which contained miscellaneous maps, loading card, and a log book.

This damage occurred on the 1200 block of Douglas Street. A window on the driver's side and the rear window were shattered on the vehicle. Estimated damages were approximately $1,000.00.

The Alexandria Police Department took a criminal damage to property report which occurred between 7:30 a.m. to 2:35 p.m. on 5/16/08 in the East parking lot of Jefferson High School. There was vandalism done to the vehicle including writing scratched into the driver's side of the vehicle.

Stolen from the residence was one 42" Sanyo plasma TV, one TV stand, one Xbox 360 and numerous Xbox games. These items are valued at approximately $5,000 total.
